M Logo Need to know

Hi ,
I have an 03 M3 convertable, E46, S54 engine, AMG Trans. Best car I've ever owned and drove.
I have 129000 miles on BABY. I bought it used a few years ago. I want to change the trans fluid. I only found instructions for the E36 change, mostly. I would like to think BABY would allow me to follow these instructions for the change. However my experience has been "if it doesn't state E46, S54, M3", it may not be totally true for BABY. Help me do this simple procedure without giving myself an ulcer worrying that it may not be quite right. I've heard that there is a reset of sorts that only BMW can do at the end of the change, true or not? Geeze, I'm worried already, where's the pepto. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If its a manual tranny car you shouldn't have to ever change the tranny fluid but if you want to or its running rough, Swepco makes an awesome transmission fluid.

Brought mine to a local auto shop and was advised to change tranny fluid at 60k miles and 120k miles. So even manual transmission needs fluid change. I saw this and you might find it helpful BMW E46 M3 S54 3.2L - 83220309031 - Manual Transmission Fluid - 5 Liters - ES#197386
Let me know how you go.
