Re: Update: 1996 328ic
Runs rough low power all speed's esp up hill, low tone exhaust pop on decel. bank1 sensor2 code only after 40+ miles 65mph++
1. Back pressure ok
2. New injectors today, some more power but still running hard esp up hill and 60 mph++ on highway. car feels like 3rd-4th gear when in 5th on highway
Re did smoke test snapon nitrogen smoke tester no vac
leaks,
My issue is it cleared up ran like a new car two seperate times after icv hose and ccv replacements. Not sure but should rule out the cat"s????
If you raise rpm at throttle-body air noise it seems alot louder than normal

What was backpressure psi? Can't rule out cats without that number.

BMW Roundel ken328ic

Just picked up a set of oem cats and o2's 80k on them
(His car went thru NJ inspection last week)

Still runs same
Poor acceleration, exhaust seems 15+% louder??
(again.......... ran great, smooth acceleration and exhaust normal sound after replacing ICV hose?????)

Anything vacuum related that could cause symptoms, that wouldn't show on a smoke test

A valve stuck open, or stuck closed, evap area???

1. Bad hose at icv replaced and cleaned moves back forth ok, ran smooth and exhaust normal sound aprox 30 miles
2. Replaced ccv and hoses ran good another 30 miles
3. New plug's NGK BKR6EQUP , bremi boots and fuel filter, both throttle body gaskets no change
4. New maf boot and hoses all ok ran good again for about 30 miles
5. New intake gasket checked replaced all vacuum in around manifold. no change
6. new bremi coils. no change
7. Smoke test with snapon nitrogen gas tester all good from intake**
7. New injectors, more power but no change

E36 328ic Poor acceleration

Update
Found set of cats with o'2s 80k on them that went through NJ inspection last week........

Help!!!!!!!!!!

No more cel's but still runs like crappppppppp
Trying to describe..........
Like a 4cyl car in 4th gear 65 to 70 mph
Poor acceleration Any speed warm or cold
Or like a car on a cold day when you don't let it warm up and just drive it.....

Work Done with no change
cats and o'2s
NGK pluggs and Bremi boots
Coils
Fuel filter
Injectors
Intake gaskets and hoses
Fuel pressure good @ 51psi

Work done and Ran great about 60 miles each time (separate repairs)
Smoke tested Snap-on Nitrogen Machine
1. ICV hose replaced
2. Rubber grommet thing ICV at intake
3. New MAF (Recon OEM advance auto)

Could it be the ICV???
Cleaned it, moves good when rotating it back forth
Engine good at Idle (warm and cold) no up and down rpm's
Could the electric valve inside be sticking open???

Any suggestions or guessesss welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
