Does the "stock" cable mount use that quadrant-like thing in your first picture?
Reminds me of sailboat wheel steering to rudder stuff.
I think a cable quadrant produces a constant number of degrees of rotation for a given cable travel. A lever doesn't quite do that, right?
Howver, since this apparatus is full of levers, maybe that doesn't matter at all, even in this clever system. It is not a problem with other lever based gas pedal linkages.
A new use for all those bell crank plates we took off our cars when we went to carbs or more.
