I have a Dinan chip installed in my 89 325is, and there is a big difference. It's only on the butt dyno, but i noticed a huge increase in low end power, and it moves the redline limiter up to 6900 RPM. All in all i think it's a worthwile mod if you also do the exhaust and intake at the same time. My car now growls after doing these mods, and at WOT it sounds just awesome. The only downside to the chip is that you will have to run 91+ octane all the time. This is to account for the now increased engine timing and to prevent detonation.
