I read somewhere that you can convert the 914's spare tire setup (for washer fluid) to electric. All you have to do is replace the wiper switch with a 924 model & hook up an electric pump.

Well, today I got a turnsignal/wiper switch from a '79 924. When I attempted to install, it wouldn't fit. The wire harness on the 924's was just slightly wider than the 914 & it wouldn't fit into the steering column.

Any advice?
