ignition timing turbo engine

Hi

Looking for some information on what people run for ignition timing on turbo engines.

I have a 3.3 turbo motor running twin plug with 8:1 compression. This is a race engine running 110 fuel.

thanks
Scott

Thanks for the link.

It's AEM infinity ECU, twin plug, coil on plug, two knock sensors, 3.2l intake, gt35 turbo, sc cams, .8 bar boost for now.

Here is another link with some tables to help get you started:

How to calculate a base ignition table

Every engine with mods is slightly different it seems, so you will need to find a way to get on a dyno or similar and tune WOT runs to maximize your curve for that high octane, without introducing knock. I do not think many of us run with 110 octane. I know that is why I cannot really help you. I run 93 octane.

My approach, detailed in the second thread linked was to calculate the stock curve, figure out where the peaks and valleys are, and build a table that approximated the stock curve. That s/b enough to start, do checkouts, and get it to a dyno tuner.

That's my plan anyway
