Show us your light weight 930s!

Feather weight 930s aren't spoken of too much around here, but it would be great see some and read the details. How light can you get and remain streetable? The stability and power of a 930 with less mass would be quite potent...

3090 lbs with driver. Street/Track with nothing removed except the a/c compressor and the stock OEM seats replaced with Sparco units. Also added a half cage for safety. Radio, carpetting, sunroof, electric windows, etc. are still all there.

mine is an original euro 911sc converted to turbo power + of course many other mod's. @ 2460 lbs there is always room for a little more dieting. unfortunately she is currently on our host's list for sale. meanwhile, she in turn has created a believer out of me; turbo's however the application are purely unadulterated fun. weight? i guess i could get rid of that darn RUF R4 muffler bogging me down and get into the 2300's. sorry if mine doesn't apply to the purest or the post but i do love her anyway. Very lightweight 930..... everything that could be bolted off the tub is now Carbon Fiber (fenders, doors, hood front and rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wing, etc)... All sound proofing, insulation, heavy carpet, etc GONE. Lexan side windows. RS interior, no stereo, minimal wiring..... I know I am forgeting a bunch of stuff... but, since the new homestead is almost done, this should be finsihed soon!!! [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG] [IMG] [/IMG]

I like the mix of track and street/track cars. It's an inspiration. I haven't had my 79 weighed, but I have f/g front and carbon rear bumpers, and a f/g decklid. However, I still have the A/C and I also have a roll bar. I did remove the rear seats and some of the carpet. I've thought about the sound deadening, but I actually like that the car is quiet for long drives (I will never trailer to the track!). I'm looking for a car that works well on the track, but is still within the realm of reason for a street car, as judged by an enthusiast. How much weight is the sound deadening and how loud is it without it? I wonder whether it would be worth it to remove if I'm going to have to add it back.
