Here is what i made to mesure systempressure.
And i log it thrue my Frankencis. As i said before something suddenly happened to make it go very leen above 4500 And it is not running as good as it was under 4500. I have checked for leaks but could not find any besides I could tighten the intake manifold. How about the fuel flow what number in volume/time should I get to see it is as it should. Fuel filter is Only 1000km old but standing still some years so could change them. This problem just came from one day to another ![]() ![]() |

anyone have logged ther systempressure on a cis car?
when i started up the car this year everything worked fine AFR 12,1 after some days it now running lean again. i wonder about system pressure i did not have the sensor so i could log that before so i dont have any old loggs to compare. but here is what i see Idle SP 6,8bar CP 3,2bar 6000rpm SP 5,7bar CP 2,3bar 6000rpm going lean SP 5,4 bar CP 2,4bar is that drop of SP normal? i have one new bosch 044 i front and the original bosch 979 in rear. anyone have found a solution to fit a 044 in the rear? |

I am not familiar with the stock engine management, as my car came with EFI installed when I bought it. However if there is a intake temperature sensor somewhere, running lean on occasions could be related to a faulty reading of intake air temperature (or heat soak). If the temperature sensor is reading to high, it will make your car go lean.

"anyone have found a solution to fit a 044 in the rear?"""
I have fitted an 044 in the rear - am running both front and rear currently. Not hard. Alan

so finally some progress here i made my own adapters and mounted the 044 in engine bay instead of original one.
then i made new bigger wires with new relays, to make sure no voltage droppage. before systempressure dropped from 6,8 to 5,4bar now it only drop to 6,5 so happy with that. but i have one trubbel still, i wonder if it is leakage from injectors when starting it hot i have to crank for ever and when it finally starts it runs bad and not on all 6 cylinders until i givet some revs over 3000rpm then is normal again. do you guys think i could be the injectors? were is the best place to buy new injectors today? |

test that your fuel pressure accumulator holds pressure for the spec time
or as Porsche calls it the fuel pressure reservoir |

For how long and how much should it drop normal?
My guess it is on the other side of head, and it becomes air in the pipes to the injectors that’s why it runs so bad at first, what are you guys thoughts? When replacing, Is there any bigger injectors out there than my euro 964 turbo 3.3 -91? Last edited by spjuvern; 09-09-2021 at 11:28 AM.. |

test the system and watch the pressure as the minimum indicator is 1.4 bar after 20 minutes.

3.3T injectors are bosch 0437 502 017 / Porsche 931 110 225 00
3.6T injectors are Bosch 0437 502 057 / Porsche 964 110 235 20 3.6 injectors flow more but are rare and expensive your fuel head is the main limiter |

Right now it my logs says 1.3 bar boost to 5500rpm and AFR 11.5 Then i lower boost to 1bar at the top because AFR 12 Seems good for street With the track map (lowered boost) 1.1bar and lower to 0.8bat I could get 11.5 all way Could I get more out with modified head? Were is best place to leave head for modification? |

I re-read the original post and see that the engine is stock with cams and 1.3bar boost. The stock fuel distributor and injectors should have the capacity to feed these mods. (I do not recommend anything above 1.1bar, it puts undue stress on the engine and leads to detonation). If your system pressure and fuel volume are in spec I would remove the e-WUR install the -160 WUR and see where you are. Modifying the fuel distributor will disable the Lambda function. The amount of increased flow is set to match the anticipated power level, adding too much can overshoot the range of fuel curve adjustability.

I had plenty of fuel with my AIC-1 setup. I remember lowering the SP to 6.1 from higher pressure as its more about flow than pressure. Fuel pumps dont like pressure. I have spare aic-1 if needed but the frequency valve setup I used was different than others have used. I remember hearing it cant be done like I had it?

see post # 5 looks like some added flow from nicely
ported heads. also a CAM listed if the intake and exhaust flow to match the heads and CAM you will need a modified fuel head then you still will be limited also 1.3 bar on stock turbo ? then all that added flow with a stock turbo ? - this leaves a lot to be desired .... you are on the slippery slope ....
