930 Turbo upgrade and NO Turbo Lag!

Hi

Recently went out in this car which has some great upgrades and it feels like it has no lag at all.

What do you think, this 6 blade fan makes a massive difference

Didn't show the tach so hard to say. My guess is that what is being described as "on boost" is actually boost threshold. 1.0bar boost probably comes a bit under 3000rpm. We use the same type turbos (with tuned headers not short tubes) and that's what is seen. 460hp at the wheels is questionable unless that -037 (Euro) fuel distributor is highly modified. The cherry red headers indicate a problem with the AFR or timing. Only after several dyno runs or track use should you see some red in the exhaust and even then nothing like that. Beautiful car that runs strong but I'd look into that tune before something melts down.

I thought it looked impossibly lean to glow like that at idle. Lean is mean.

It might be retarded too much and that contributes to low boost treshold too. When I got my car it used to run on boost on normal highway cruise. It had the distributor wire connected wrong so the timing was way retarded.
