Pic of stock front fuel line routing or a better routing?
Has anyone got a pic of stock fuel line routing from the tank and first pump. I belive it's somewhat a zic zack which is not good for flow so if anyone has figured a nice alternative route please show that too.
Currently mine goes up to the smuglers box where I have a 10 micron filter and pump but maybe its possible to go through the alu cross bar? I dont like the idea of going below it!

I installed an inline filter between tank and pump as the new Dansk tanks don't have a filter.
I found you can loop a custom bent fuel line around the cross member. Nothing in the smugglers box. Filter is in the original fuel pump location, front pump is clamped to the alu cross member. No real custom fittings needed, just AN to barb.

I'm just trying to keep lines as straight as possible but the cross member is a PITA. Every bend is bad for flow. I might go for a fuel surge tank in smuglers box.
Found a pic and it seems there is room for a line over the cross bar also, not sure it AN8 fits there? ![]()

Bends don't affect flow in any meaningful way. Look at the banjo fitting on the fuel pump, it don't get any worse than that.

optimal, meaningfull, minor head loss, pressure differential...
It all adds up so why not try to keep it optimal with good flowing bends and adequate size. Pressure losses take a small toll on overall system and alternator as pump needs to work harder which puts also more heat on the fuel... I already saw pressure loss on fuelpressure on my logs on high boost so I have a reason for trying to optimize the system. Maybe it does not make any difference but as long as nobody has measured it its a guesswork. I did see some water piping tests and its clear that a tight mitre 90 deg connector was the most restrictive.

GJF and Chris@TK have shared pics of weld bung at tank outlet. Was the in-tank swirl pot pipe and tank filter still in operation in your setups?

![]() ![]() A direct shot without the big bends up & over means straight through the Alum Crossmember. Certainly doable without affecting the strength of the Alum bar. You may have to reposition the Pump, but all of that can be done without too much effort. Doubt if there will be any supply or feed difference though, at least enough to measure. Before contorting yourself in knots over trying something in the difficult category, here is a test you could do. Take an approx measure of the length of fuel line pump- fuel accumulator. After that you have bends you really cannot avoid.
Measure the flow at the FA. Now get the approx length of fuel hose, same dia, and measure the straight line output, and ask if the difference is worth it. Alan
