I remember when you were selling it and I regret not buying it. That thing was cool!

I'm sure you still have the vin in some paperwork you have, run it on a carfax report and see where it was last registered or transferred to, you will probably have to pay the 30 bucks but it will give at least it's last title transfer and the state, unless it was sold out of country, but I'd be surprised if the euro's would by this as it'd be pretty hard to get past TUV, but always possibly it was exported, let's hope not and it pops up in a carfax report, from there, you can try and find a private dmv guy in that state that does say vin verifications, and maybe he will do you a favor for the right cost and get you the last registration address and owner.... good luck!

Badass looking car, what rims are those, they look one off, reminds me of an RSR/917 wheel!

I vaguely remember it being sold by a dealer at some point also because I remembered the car.

It reminds me a lot of this 76 that was for sale years back with a turbokraft motor, I m sure Chris remembers it, and more of it's details, was a slick car for sure, who know's where it ended up.... was pretty affordable as I remember too, compared to todays prices back in 2017 when it was for sale on ebay.

Carfax will not give any information for a 1978. Has to have a 17 digit VIN for a report

That does not say you can get a report on a 10 digit VIN. Did you click on that link and see where it brings you? How can they give you a report without a VIN or a Plate?

Hey Larry - good to see you here again. Best of luck locating your old beast - loved that build! The weight was IMPRESSIVE...

Ben - wheels appear to be Fikse FM5's

Hi Larry,

Realize your post is several months old. I sent you a PM with the current owner contact. I believe he is interested in selling. The car is located in the Southeast part of the country (VA/NC) area.

krasuskyp,
correct, the wheels are FM5s
