Porsche Crest 1985 3.2 Carrera turbo build

Hi there,

I'm reading alot on this forum and finally decided to turbo my beloved 1985 3.2 Carrera Targa.

its my first Porsche and owned it now for about 3 years.

My game plan :

ECU VEMS thx @Raceboy
Pulsar GTX 3584RS 0.63AR
Oil feed from Turbokraft
930 J pipe
Custom Exhaust with center outlet
Tial F46P wastegate with 7PSI spring
Siemens Deka 630cc injectors
Small intercooler to fit under the original bonnet
2.5" piping (ebay special)

I might add a 4 port boost controller to manage the boost (not sure yet)

Wish me luck, will need it

if anyone wants to follow on IG : 85_9_1_1_

the car :

The engine atm:

You’ll start out at 0.5 bar, but 1.0 bar is where the party really starts. It’s addicting. I’m up to 1.4 now and have ran 1.5 before for fun. Tires must be good or no traction at that point.

We ran our last 3.2 turbo conversion at .6 bar, with an intercooler.... There is tons of more safe power there, but client thinks it has pleny of power as it is....

Cheers

Oil feed line going thrue the tin

Oil feed line hooked up-turbokraft (awesome quality) you need the 930 adapter to engine block to install this (expensive thrue turbokraft but ordered one online)

How did you attach intake to throttle body and plumb the idle valve?

Hey Michael, i attached it using a 90 degree elbow reducer.. 83mm to 63. Idle valve is plumbed with a quick tap 20mm connection.

Btw guys, Michael here is truly a man with many knowledge, he has answered many questions that i had. He was helpful to me .

Nice to see your car running great! Couple of observations though: first thing you should install proper air fitler Not only due to dust entering engine (and severly reducing engine life) but the mesh actually flows worse than air filter.
And secondly definitely proceed with intercooler install, intake temps will be skyrocketing when true summer arrives.

May I ask why you removed brake booster check valve? Boost should not enter the booster..

Calm Peep, calm 😉

Brake booster is not getting any boost thats why i installed a check valve it flows towards the engine not away from it .

Thanks for sharing. I’m at 1 bar with conservative timing and it’s a blast to drive.

Yeah, that IC is pretty small for .7. I get that it fits under the stock lid. Nice install though.
