Tire diameter difference front to rear affect on handling

Hey guys, I have a 934/5 tribute that I usually run 265/35/18 front and 335/35/18 rear. They are pretty close in overall diameter. Would running a 285/30/18 24.9” diameter tire with a 345/35/18 27.1” have any ill effects on handling leaving current ride height and alignment specs unchanged? Thanks in advance

First off we need to see a pic of this car!

Yes there is no doubt that changing the aspect ratios of your tires will affect handling. It will most certainly affect braking and understeer. The suspension would need to be re-adjusted if you change the tire sizes. I've done this many times with my widebody cars, the current having 16" front and 17" rear wheels with tires 1" shorter in the front. The rear had to be lowered and the front raised just a tad to even out the handling and braking.

Are those wheel adapter center locks? they look funny to me

Cool looking car.

When we couldn't get 19" tires for our rear wheels on the 935 we ran 16" all the way around. They were a WSC tire and as I recall they were 23.5 tall in front and 27 in the back. I know for sure we never ran the same height tire front and rear.

currently I am using 275/45/ZR16 in front and 335/35/ZR18 in rear just because there was nothing available. Avon was making proper sizes for the 935 in 16 & 19"so I was going to use those and have them grooved but heard Avon shut down

I would call Roger Kraus Racing and ask them what is the best application for your car and wheel sizes. https://rogerkrausracing.com/

I would definitely call Roger.

I bet that car is fast

If you ever want to convert to factory centerlocks let me know. I have all the 934/935 parts, body panels, etc. Every part on the Gulf K3 came from me
