This is a post I made on facebook 12 years ago I really miss those guys wish they hadnt gone to the dark side
I hate to see friends go to the dark side! I know a couple guys that had lofty ideas to stand the world of aftermarket Porsche parts on its ear by developing and manufacturing hard to find and exotic parts for 911's and 930's. Parts like the lightweight 935 motor mount bracket or 935 lollipop seats in carbon fiber or the Porsche racing flat fan or the 935 centerlock wheels or the 935 front suspension X brace I think you get my drift. So they started this on the premise that Joe blow enthusiast would be able to afford these parts because they weren't out to make huge profits because they were already making good livings and didn't need to jack the price up. I was on the waiting list for many of these products but no more. They used to care about us as they had a forum just for us and had info on my car that I only posted there thinking it would always be there. Well it turns out they let the forum go and jacked the prices up on the products with the explanation that "that is the price the market will support" and now many of the products I waited a long time to come available are there now but much higher in price than the same people they used to ***** about raping the enthusiast out there. Sorry rant off it's just sad to ask where it went and 5 days later after sending PM's and emails and asking on another public forum and seeing that 2 of these 3 friends have been on almost daily since asking the question and they haven't answered the question.

This is a post I made 15 years ago so far number 3 is complete number 1 and 2 are in progress and 4 will happen but I have to do paint and body first
I was just thinking the other day and was recalling when I was building this car back in 82 a guy came in with a problem with the rear fuel pump in his 930 and I diverted from my project to see if I could help him out it turned out to be something simple for me as I was troubleshooting wiring problems at the time but I could see a porsche mechanic would have difficulties with the problem. My reward for getting his car running was I got to take it out for a spin and it left a lasting impression on me, that drive bore the dream of one day having a boosted car. I never do anything the easy way though I could have sold the car I had years ago and bought a 930 and had fun but noooooo! I have to do it this way and you know I am glad because i a visareal sort of way my ride although right now doesn't have the hp of a late 930 it has a more seat of the pants feel than the 930 did I mean when the 930 kicked in the boost it brought a smile but it didn't get a wow the way my car does now when the boost kicks in and its onlt 7 lbs now I cant even imagine what it will be when I get it to 1 bar. Just my views on this addiction we have. and now an updated list of the up and coming projects this thread will have in store as soon as the moola is there. 1. Suspension upgrade: bushings, coilovers, swing arms and such 2. G50 tranny upgrade w/torque tube mod and some structural mods as well 3. 3.2 SS turbo motor will evolve as it is built 4. Brake upgrade not sure which direction this will go. Is that enough?

Warm enough to go out and play with the shifter mainly because I was bored nothing really to do right now and I can say for sure the Numeric shifter and cables are the only way to go.
