934 Style WG/Zork - If I make them will they come?

I've had a few requests for a 934 style waste gate dump and zork tube combo.
Using the zork that I currently sell I fabbed a matching waste gate pipe to exit with it out the rear and off center, just like the race cars.

It takes a few bucks to have a jig built for mass production so I need to get a feel for interest. I think this would look pretty cool polished!

Awesome.

Do you think they would be low enough to fit a euro 3.6 C2T / 964 3.8RS rear bumper?

Can I have the dimension from the reflector to the top of the outlet?

I really like it though I am glad you are thinking about doing it.. I am suprised no one has thought of this a while ago...

I'll be down for a setup, but will there be an option to have it not chromed or polished? I don't care for bling.

RarlyL8, you're the best!

Yes it will be braced. That's a lot of pipe.
Yes I offer all of my products unfinished, satin, and high gloss.
It's not a new idea by any means but there is a limited customer base and low margin so the big boys probably aren't interested in producing them. I designed the waste gate portion to fit with most popular zork tubes, so if you have a zork now you should not need to purchase another. Not the best business plan but hey, we're all in this for the cars right?

I think this would be a cool setup for DE events and weekend romps. They can be installed or removed in about 15 minutes.

Nathan, I don't know if they will fit a C2T.
What is "dims from the reflector down"?

Dimensions. OK.
You just need to know how tall the valance and bumper are in the middle. No problem.

I'm going ahead with production on this funky pipe. It will be sold sepparately or with a zork as a package deal. I still have to work up pricing, shouldn't be too bad. Hope to have them in production ASAP for those folks going to the Ventura show Sep 8!

RarlyL8 I'll be at the show and would like the whole set-up with main pipe as well. Can you send me a PM regarding this before the show. I'd like to pay in advance and just pick them up. Thanks Robert

PS are the stainless or MS?

Brian..

Nice look! I had spoke to Ben about this a while back but never got around to ordering a flange to get me started. Glad you moved the process forward.

What are your thoughts as far as clearance as some of our cars have headers with the heater tube which jets from the side as well as different drip tanks as well.

Thoughts of maybe selling the flange w/that first portion of pipe attached as seen in the pic? Also, do you plan to gusset the the pipe at the flange area... as the 934?

Great work!

Paul

All of my products are 321 stainless.

You can contact me by phone or e-mail anytime by clicking on my username or I can call/e-mail you with info.

My products are designed to fit stock Euro and '86-on US heat exchangers with the stock turbo oil tank. I am right now trying to find a B&B tank to do some test fitments on my existing stuff.

The pipes will not have gussets because the pipe fits inside of the flange. It is not simply attached to the flange.

I can sell "stubby" waste gate pipes and "kits" including the 60* bends if needed. Those bends cost me about $20 each. If in doubt about fitment that would be the way to go. Your local muffler guy should be able to weld it up for you at a reasonable cost.

I'll post some more pictures once it is welded up and I get a bracket made.

I have been hoping someone would start selling this set up! I will be a buyer in about a year once I move out of my brownstone. My neighbors across the street already get blasted when I pull in and out of the garage.

Porsche Crest Ahh...that looks like home to me!

Ahhhh...

Nothing better than being in the garage on cardboard!
Although my profession is in the office, I look forward to wrenching.

RarlyL8,

Nice design....it will sell.

Paul,
I expect your system to be at my door today. The plan is to have it finished this weekend so it can ship early next week. It was a difficult design but turned out well and will suit the theme of your car. I'll shoot you some pix when I get it cleaned up.

Today will be day number 11 that the temperature has breached 100*F. The forcast is 104*. My garage is not air conditioned so the work goes slow. Sometimes the office ain't so bad .......

Got some bad news today. The 934 W/G pipe was misplaced in shipping and is likely gone.
So I have to make another one.

Let's take this opportunity to look for improvements. Is there anything in the path that could be improved? Would you like to see the pipe before the final bend more hidden? Keep in mind that every 60* bend adds $25 to the cost.
Thanks.

May want to look at changing a few of the bends to take the oil drip tank problem out of the equation and to hide the pathway or source of the pipe... also, matching angles and alignment is critical.

my 2 cents, hope it helps.
I have to admit it looks pretty good as it sits...

Good idea and thanks for the photo.
The flange pipe would likely need to kick out towards the body of the car so that you miss the heater hose and the oil tank line. I'll take another look at that.
