What size wheels and tires
I am looking to do a wheel/tire upgrade for the car in my signature. I am leaning towards Kodiak Racing in 9 and 11.5 inches respectively. Tire wise, I am pretty sure I'm going with 315s in the rear and I am thinking of 255 or 265 up front. I 'd like to be able to brake harder than the little 225s now allow w/o locking up so easily and I'd like not to spin under boost so easily as well. Right now w/ 225 and 245s my rear end often breaks lose under boost and the front tires seem to plow if I get crazy in tight turns. Now mind you it still handles 10x btter than the stock setup but why not get the most out of it. I am comfotable that my mechanic has the suspension set well, I just think that I am a lillte shy in the tire dept.
Anyone have any experience with that setup I am considering on a car w/ the aftermarket Smart Racing adj. sways front and rear? I don't think they offer any addiitonal clearance issue, but figured I'd ask. Thanks

I know guys run 315s on 930 w/o a problem, the front w/ 265 is my real question. I looked this evening ansdthe Smart Racing bars ssem to be no problem.

I run Fikse FM10's, 11x17 and 9x17. 315 rear-245 front. goodyear f1. The 11 rear has a couple mm's of clearance to the body. There is about 6mm of clearance to the wheelwell. Because my rear camber is slightly off, there is 6 mm. Once ride height is set to proper Euro spec, I'm expecting barely any room.
The 245's in front are having rubbing issues on turns. No way could I run 265's. The 245's look great. Perhaps the 70's 930 had more wheel clearance. I don't know how to get pics onto this post. If you send me a pm with your email, I'll send you pics.

When I get there, I'm planning on running a 235 on the front.

I'm running 245/50/18 in front and 285/30/18 for the rear... my car is lowered to Euro spec's and this is about the best setup... any wider in the rear would probably cause tire rub when the car squats at boost. Just my 2 cents worth. Tires are Pirelli P-Zero Russo... great for the day twisties...

I'm running 255/35-18 front and 315/30-18 rear.
Front is about maxed out, could go 335 in the rear easy. Actual measured tire sizes vary with manufacturers. Pirelli has the smallest tires for the advertised size in my opinion.
