source for tach signal in engine bay?

Is there an obvious/easy source I can tap into in the engine bay to pick up the tach signal/same signal as the tach would receive?

By the CDI box and running on the frame rail towards the front, there us a black wire with a purple stripe. If I'm not mistaken, that wire goes to the tach. It also has a connector in that same location.

Thanks for the tip! I will check that location for the wire and see if does the trick.

Using it for the Digital WUR RPM module.
Signal requirements...I'll have to check the manual later, unsure off the top of my head.
