Interesting that all the cars being assembled in these pictures are LHD cars!

I suspect these photos may be for the 506/505 production cars. If you look at the size of the torsion bar access covers, they are the larger ones I think they started using in '87.

Was curious how you could tell with the black and white picture?

Since 1988 I have also heard the 87-89 factory slants had wood slats but have not seen one plain to confirm.

Has anyone seen one in person stripped of paint or coating?

I am not ready to scratch mine yet to confirm. hehe

I can confirm that they are wood on mine....factory SE 88' , 506, VN ....WPOZZZ93ZJS000267.....and rear vents are steel.....

Not to derail but I have a Slantnose bra and a pair of fenders that I got from Gabe (Reaper) complete with light buckets if anyone is interested PM me..

Since Barry and Phil were so kind to provide their photos, I was wondering if any of you are interested in providing me your best slantnose shots (2 max). I will present them to the guys in GB in three groups; pre-505/506, 505/506 and custom/aftermarket. I think more than 3/4's of the cars built by Porsche were sent to America so the boys in GB might be interested in what we have to offer.
PM me with your photo's, providing me the following info; year, custom or factory and location (no, not address, but State/USA or city/country). What do you guys think?
