lexan rear quarter windows w naca duct
I've looked online and can't find any.
Visually, is there a noticeable difference between lexan and glass?

I have had lexan rear quarter windows ( with NACA ducts) in my car now for about 10 years... they look very good, and have had no problems with them...

Don't use Lexan for any crucial windows. It scratches easily and looks cloudy. I do not have the side windows installed in my car but the wing windows, quarter windows, and rear window are Lexan. I have a cage bar in the way to the back, as well. The visibility is... adequate. I would never want a Lexan windscreen in the front on a street car, even if it was legal.

Thanks guys.
How should I expect to pay for a lexan quarter with naca duct? Any way to prevent them from getting cloudy?

Try Speedglass from Percy's. It is the best plastic type glass as far as scratch resistance. Not DOT as you can't brake in case of emergency.

Actually all small aircraft use Lexan windshields.. Typically everyone uses Pledge to clean them with papertowels ..

I'm going lexan all around except the windshield, i'll report back how it works out.
For now though Spektr hasn't been shipping out orders for a few months now, so keep looking for a trustworthy source. He's got good stuff, just wish he'd keep producing.

On my 73 I used a plastic polish I got from a racer supply. It worked great, use a super soft terry towel to clean them with.

Porsche make a cream polish for the Boxster plastic soft top windows that is supposed to be very good. My mechanic uses it on all the race cars in the shop with plastic windows.

Doug,
A product called Plexus has been used for years by the aircraft owners and airport maint. shops. You can get it off Evil Bay. I've used on taillight lenses and instrument faces forever. Clean with a mild soap and water, polish out with Plexus. I also use Turtle Wax "polishing compound" on heavier scratches before applying the Plexus. The Turtle Wax Compound will knock off the sharp edges of scratches without distorting the surface clarity before you polish. Cole
