3.2 vs. 964 intake...
I didn't want to take away from Kenny3737's thread, so I decided to start another.
![]() What is the difference between the 3.2 and 964 intake? What the advantage? Flow? configuration? Throttle body size, orientation and location? Is it easier to find one? Cheaper? Are we talking 964 NA? |

Hey Jim the bolt pattern is different for matching up to 930 heads, I can't answer any questions as to flow etc., but the Carrera intake is definitely easier to find, as for throttle body sizing you can pretty much mount what ever you want to the Carrera intake. The person to answer these questions since he has experience with both would be Geoffrey Ring.

At least you did not sell your 930!
So, what type of EFI are you considering? Regarding 3.2 vs 964 intake, IMO, I'd rather use a 3.2 since it's all metal whereas a 964 has plastic like center portion of the intake from what I've seen. I could be bias since my 930 has 3.2 intakes.
