Looks like at one point it might have been a BTR 3.4 conversion car. Now it's just a bastard being sold by some white trash who can't even pronounce RUF properly.

the only thing that looks like a Ruf part on that car is the wheels and decklid badge. the engine looks like a twin turbo, intercooler looks like it flows terribly, but it does sound like there 934 cams in it...if the build was done right, and you like the C2 look, it could be a good buy.

The exhaust sounds better than the salesman.

He states he has the documentation.... probably did have the engine conversion done.

What a surprise, another used car salesman that can't tell if the car has been painted or not.

Ok, I'll punch myself for being rude.

Regardless....unless you're looking for RUF originality it looks to have been well put together, sounds awesome and is probably a rocket ship on the road. Most likely over-priced because of the supposed RUF designation, but you would probably get one heck of a strong runner.

VERY cool car but no way it was produced in that form in '88. The C2 bodywork did not exist then, which also probably answers the repaint question ...

If it checks out, $42K for 630hp isn't a bad deal.

I agree with Rarly, the body work didn't even exist in '88. He says they have the orifiginal seats, I am wondering if they have the original bumpers? It doesn't have the rain gutters removed I noticed.

Seriously doubt it has much to do with Ruf, however it does have a CTR style 12 injector manifold. Everything else is not there like the Ruf steering wheel, 5-speed, intercooler, etc.
