In primer before Non metallic Slate Grey.
Stripped the red paint off, removed sunroof and drip rails then primed. Check out the pics. Getting ready for the Ducktail. Rich Dean does great work. Thanks. What 18" wheels should I use? SSR.....Forgeline...... Rays..... I like the look of the ones that Rauh Welt uses. Let me know which wheels you would use. Thanks, Tatehttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1315341081.jpg

Speaking of the devil, I was reading one of my magazines from ages ago whil I was in the office, ie turlet =). It actually had a Mc Queen car that he had orderd. I do re-call that he had put in place an off switch for just the rear lights to go stealth, I think this may have included break lights too. But the front system operated normal. LOL, I'll try to post or something.
May of been a fun article for you to read. |
these cars look so much better with the gutters shaved looking great!!

"The Turbo didn't stay stock for long. The first change was a switch on the dash to knock out the taillights and brake lights in case of hot pursuit by law enforcement personnel. Later the standard 15-by-7-inch front and 15-by-8-inch rear Fuchs wheels were replaced by 15-by-8-inch front and 15-by-9-inch rear Fuchs wheels."

I have decided to go with the 2011 GT3 rs grey. Garry Stratton is coming up to custom build the ducktail. I am also converting the rear trailing arms to the narrow set up in order to fit 18X11.5 custom rear SSR deep dish wheels. They will take 3 months to get though. The engine is close to being finished. The car should be painted this week. Should I go with an accent color like the GT3 rs?? what is your opinion? Thanks

Looking good. Are you going to keep the stock wheels?
|
Well. I am into year 3 of this build and have changed the color once again. It will now be Pastel Blue, one of my favorite early 911 colors. Wheels and trim will be Mate black. I have stopped adding up the build cost. No A/C...No Heat. No radio, No rain guards, No sunroof. No sound deadening. .Manual window winders. . RS lightweight interior. We have converted the rear to narrow body trailing arms in order to fit much larger and deeper wheels. I will have them made with custom offsets. The front and rear bays have been painted. The 3.6L M64/50 Brumos engine is now installed in the car and we will fire it next week. My builder, Rich Dean wants install the motor and get the car street worthy before we finish the exterior paint. Rich will custom make a ducktail. The one I had made for this project never would fit correctly. Yes, I retained the CIS and Larry at CIS Flowtech modified the fuel head and the WUR. I will use the ultra rare S2 factory 4" thick full width Andial Intercooler. The Turbo is a Garrett and the Wastegate is a Tial, they both came from Chis at Turbokraft. Here are a few pics. I hope I am only 3 months out now. Tate
