REAL nice visit from a fellow Pelican today.
Got a phone call the other day from fellow Pelicanite Helio who told me he'd be driving his car on a trip near my neck of the woods and wondered if we could meet. Well YES!
The weather cooperated this morning and gave us lots of time to mull over that great car of his. This car is just unbelievable. The attention to detail is reflected in how incredibly well it drives. An EFI car would be hard pressed to drive any nicer than this CIS 930 engine does. It runs just like the red rocket did; similar weight, similar gear ratios, similar power. Like a Carrera on steroids. Helio, you're livin' the dream man. Driving the car from DC to TN/AL and back, hitting the track and taking the kids to school. Enjoying the car to it's fullest. Thanks for driving 100 miles out of your way to stop by, made my day and then some. ![]() ![]()

Thats great Brian glad to hear about your visit 2 very interesting and unique cars and equally unique owners glad to see your house intact after hearing about the storms that rolled through your neck of the woods again it is already beginning to look like a more active storm season than any other time we have already had severe weather up here a month and a half earlier than previous years. Good luck and keep your powder dry!

I was noticing all the garage doors too. Thats nice.
Down here the one way over on the right would be for a golf cart, motorcycle, bicycles, Generator, lawnmower, stuff like that. The grey car looks really nice. New paint would be r a l l y nice |

Thanks guys, I've been overwhelmed with work these last few weeks and this was sure a nice diversion. Helio's car is as impressive in person as in all the pictures, unbelievable that it was built this way 20 years ago! The enjoyment and use he gets out of his car is what I want out of the gray ghost. He's about 6 hours into the 10+ hour drive to DC right now and I can't imagine a more cool car to do it in.
The garage(s) are a big reason I bought this house. The last one is shorter than the others and I could kick the builder in the nuts for not making it the same size as that limits it's use. Right now it's my home shop for the business.

Brian,
That's really cool of Helio to visit you. Once of these days I would like to hit Barber's DE event. If I do then I'd drop by your place, too. BTW, beautiful cars! Helio, How was the DE event at Barber? Would you go there again?
