Can you modify a 930 factory turbo with different turbines

Not sure if this is a stupid question but was wondering if you can modify a factory 930 turbo turbocharger with different turbine wheels to get faster spooling and better performance. Where would you get these parts if they exist. Thanks Rob Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Christmas Rob

Most opt to change out the entire turbo unit for a more modern design - better spool and more air, better oiling, ball bearings etc.

Merry xmas

I believe Brian, rarlyl8, indeed does offer a more modern modded 3ldz.

I think it depends on your other upgrades and overall goals.

Regards

Does anyone know what mods Brian does to the 3LDZ, and how to tell if the mods have already been done on the turbo? Brian, you there?

The 3LDZ housing was machined to accept modern Garrett turbine wheels. Nice cheap upgrade. Unfortunately the Asian (black) market has infiltrated the 3LDZ rebuild parts world. Quality control went in the toilet and I stopped selling those turbos. KKK/BW still puts out quality K27 rebuild parts so the 7200's and hybrids have not been affected.
I need to update my website ...
