Engine Drop In Progress - Leakdown Tester Needed
Hey guys, I'm in the process of dropping my engine for a re-seal and camshaft upgrade. Before I make too many plans I would like to assess the relative health of the engine.
Would anyone have a leakdown tester that they could loan/rent to me? Thanks.

Paul, $35 at Sears is probably what you would spend shipping a borrowed one both ways.
US General Engine Cylinder Leakdown Tester Dual Gauge Kit w/ case - Tools - Mechanics & Auto Tools - Automotive Specialty Tools If you haven't pulled it yet, a compression test is quick and can be informative as well.

Looks just like the one Harbor Freight tools sells for about the same price and then it goes on sale for 29.95 now and then.
I guess you know you need an air compressor to use it. |
