New guy here Just Bought my First Porsche a 1979 930
Hello everyone
I went and picked up my new 1979 930 today, Great car, my first Porsche and my first Turbo. I'll have to say the only thing I need to adjust to is the clutch, It just feels weird but its all good, This being my first turbo car it will take some getting used to that's for sure. Unfortunately for me the weather was in the high 20's, snow was forecast and since it had summer tires on it, I bit the bullet and towed it home instead of driving it like I wanted to. Car is Silver Metallic with Black interior, sunroof, A/C and passenger mirror. I need to get it on the road and drive it poor car has been sitting a lot over the years but has had plenty of work done by the last owner. I will get some photos up asap I have my Christmas present so I'm happy. I also hang out over on ferrarichat as well so you may see me there. johnny |

Welcome. As I quickly learned - and you've been advised - putting up pics is a sternly enforced, albeit unofficial, prerequisite to posting.
Again, welcome, and Merry Christmas! |

Congradulations and Merry Christmas!
There's never been and never will be another car like them and they are beautiful to look at. Clutch adjustment is down on the bottom of the transaxle next to that U shaped spring that looks like something off a 1950's school bus and if the clutch pedal doesn't have too much free play but feels weird there is a strong clutch pedal spring that makes the pedal easier and more linear to push down in the bottom left side of the pedal cluster. When it breaks the pedal feel does change compared to a spring being there. Unfortunately they are no longer available new but sometimes you can have the broken one welded back together and some people make the still available SC spring work. |

If this is the car 6300RPMs refered to, I called him and he said it was gone. Looks like a real nice one if it fit's the description. Original paint, great color and is sorted.
