930 vs. Countach video

Today in German TV: 1989 930 vs. 1989 Countach
Die Vergleiche

I hope the link is functional, on my pad the player is not loading...
...seems flasH is required

As its german language, here the dyno results:
930: 283 PS
Countach: 419 PS

I'd say he popped the clutch. Pretty decent launch on both of them, a little less wheel spin would be quicker but it is damn hard to get right.

I couldn't understand a word they said.....except when the driver of the Countach said "$hiteneheimer"....or something like that.

Good video of two fine machines.

My tires don't fry until 30mph ...

Would be nice if I could understand anything they said.

Lambo driver said he has weak clutch after he lost the accel test. 930 made 383chp if I got it correctly.

Surprised to see how much faster the 930 was on their little circuit test.

He said that the clutch was never strong enough to handle the big power for that model.

Thanks for posting these links, that was a very nice blast from the past! The Lambo was always my brother's deam car while the 930 was mine so I had to rub it in a little, ha!

This "stock" 930 did not drive like a stock 930. Even with the G50 they are weak. You would have to wear out the clutch or use 10 year old tires to get the wheel spin shown. They may have baited the Countach.

The circuit test is pretty subjective. 2 different drivers, one ran to the car, cut the corner coming out of the box, and seemed to push the 930 a lot harder.

Have to say, despite being a massive Porsche fan (obviously), that Lambo, for street theatre and soundtrack, is the Top Trumps winner...was always a bedroom poster car for me when growing up, feet very firmly in the Lamborghini camp when it was a mid-80's arms race against the Testarossa....and it still looks epic today.

Strangely, despite being to Le Mans about 16/17 times, where you typically see everything in the car parks/campsites, I don't actually recall seeing a Countach in the flesh...maybe a case of don't meet your heroes.

That 930 in Forest Green (?) also looks delicious....looks so "right" with the Fuchs. Don't know why I'm telling you this, you guys already know it, lol.....us 964T owners just have to make do with Cups or Speedlines

You are making enough power to spin 345 P-Zeros at 30mph on CIS without a clutch kick? Are you sure?
