I would like to paint my intercooler...

Stock intercooler looks a little tired with paint chipping and scratches, I would like to paint it and look like new again. Anyone here have tried this? Thoughts?

thx

Hmmmm, appropriate way to reference the OE intercooker!

That's a Massive drop,!!,
Twice as cool than a silver intercooler..!

Polished and Silver obviously not efficient at all ,
based on that reckoning my Matt Black OEM Intecooler is just as efficient as a giant big humongous polished aluminium one LMAO
And mine cost me $150 LOL

Suckers...:

Pretty Cool huh (pardon the pun)

No doubt about that, Robby! In fact, given this new information, I think you can safetly increase boost pressure to 1.5 BAR! Please do so and then report back to the group with results!

Your motor looks fantastic Frank.
Polishing the rear lid latch mechanism a little and using stainless steel allen head bolts and washers to mount it could look nice.

I'll do you one better...I'll give you my nice BLACK stock intercooler AND pay for the shipping of that humongous paper weight to my doorstep. I really don't need that much cooling up here in Washington state anyway.... do you need my address?

I wasn't serious It's a really small detail and the washers you have on there look good.

I was just thinking wider washers would cover the marks in the paint around the left bolt.
Better than that you could take the bolt out and rub the paint with some rubbing or polishing compound on a rag and it might remove or smooth out the little marks.

I see you cleaned up the latch. You do nice work and it looks good.
