Hey Brad you need to post some pics of the beast so we can see what all you've done the last few years. Awesome that you're racking up the miles of smiles! What all is left that needs to be swapped over to carbon? I've got a guy making just about every part imaginable for these cars in CF. Just finished molding the upright on the tail, it weighs one pound!

Kevin, Rahl, Paul, and Brian DUDES, great to hear from you. Well, Paul and I chat every week, but it is good to reconnect.

The car has had the clutch replaced, as it did not hold the HP ( I had the RUF BTR yellowbird clutch). Called Chris at TK up, and we ended up going with what I have been told, is the highest clamping force PP that Sachs makes. It is the 934/935 stuff. It is holding for now, but the only upgrade now, is to the full race puck SOLID center disc, which will be NO Bueno for street use. But its holding for now.

I also ended up getting rid of my Clewett cam sensor ( on the end of cyl #6 cam tower) and going with the Rasant version, which plugs in the distributor hole, A MUCH improved setup. During this, I also removed the M&W CDI box, the Bosch coilpacks, and Magnacore wires, and went to full CoP. They are Denso coils, and for the 12, they were right about 1k. Then went to ProWire USA , and went to Tezfel wire, Reychem heat shrink, and Deutsch connectors. I built my own harness for the 12 CoP, and got it all installed. I think that was the single best upgrade I did to my car! They are phenomenal!!

I also rebuilt my ENTIRE steering collum, and also replaced the ENTIRE from suspension pan. Now that was a TON of work. I will make a separate post on both of these endeavors.

I think I also made a post years back, where i took off my GT35r ( TiAL version), as it killed itself... the ceramic ball bearings went tits up. I now have the Garrett GTX3584RS with a 1.02 A/R turbine housing. OMG, this turbo is F@$$@&!! AMAZING!!!!!

I have been on several trips with the car, and numerous rallys, mountain runs, and shows.

Brian, I have the doors, front fenders, hood, front bumper cap, and rear tail all in Carbon Fiber. Those parts are 25 years old!!!! and still holding up. I am looking to get some real flares in carbon, and cutting the steal ones off.

Here are a few pics throughout the last few years.

We're finishing up on a rear bumper in CF now and will be doing a replacement sunroof, rear quarters and several other areas. How about a set of brake shields in carbon?

Brian, Looking good!! I am looking for a set of rear quarter panels in carbon. They must be full carbon fiber, and need to look like the quality of the part you posted. Stock 930 flare width is fine ( oversize is ok as well, but then I will have to get bigger outer lips for my wheels, and spend way more $$$$ on the rear tires...) I am talking the whole entire rear quarter from the rear edge of the door, just below the rear quarter window, all the way to the rear lights. I will epoxy them on.

Brad

Yo' Bard...only hear from you on FB anymore. I'm guilty of the same, don't hang out enough on Pelican as I used to. There was a period when I lived here! Good to touch base once in a while...see what's new or what wisdom we can share.

Yes we will be producing the 930 rear quarter panels (the test bed for this line is a 930). Do not know about timing on that just yet. Eventually every panel and a bunch of parts will be done in CF/Kevlar. None are laminate, all are 100% CF/K.

Working on an all carbon 911SC now, will get back to the 930 soon. Street car with full leather interior carbon accents and sound deadening. Will be interesting to see the final weight and front to rear ratio. Your 930 is similar in composition if not a bit more hard core.
