LES... good question. We could start comparing specs to get to the answer. Filter I'm looking at...
Purolator L30260 = 97.5%* efficiency at 20 microns *Based on ISO 4548-12 20 microns on L30001 --- looks like results are for different model filter. Could mean anything but at least there's something to reference. What specs do you see for 2 filters you have?

Spec is only part of the importance, the OEM filters also have a bypass valve that allows oil to go around the filter should it become clogged. You can see the difference in your photo.

I don't know which aftermarket filters have the spring valve, just brought it up as an important item. Good to ask when purchasing.

I've been running with Mahle's all these years, only because I bought a case of them at a great bargain many moons ago. Unfortunately they perished in the carnage, or at least I think so since I can seem to locate them now.

It's interesting to see that Porsche LS128 filter is made in USA. I have never seen it before...always used Mahle filters.

Our host lists them both so I thought I'd compare. I've always used Mahle. I did try the Mobil 1 years ago when I was running Mobil1 after a rebuild.

It looks like the Mahle filter has the bypass valve from the picture, no?
