Turbo Cayenne performance?
Hey guys I bought a 2008 Cayenne turbo to play with, and pull my 964 turbo to the track with. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information out there on who and what to use for performance parts. I was thinking bolt on's such as Cat bypass and ECU upgrades. I just don't want to waste money or deal with subpar tunes etc. I saw EVO motorsports has a tune for 1600. Little pricey for a mail order tune.......any advice would be great! The cayenne board looked dead so figured my turbo buddies might know!

I was watching a TV show on Porsche's recently and they said of all the Porsche's you can buy you get wayyyy more performance per dollar in a good condition used Cayenne Turbo than any other car they ever made. They're pretty good off road too.

Rennlist, renntech and soloporsche (section principal Cayenne) you can use google translate if you need to)
Enjoy the Cayenne. Not as modifyable but definitely a fast attack vehicle with supple leather seats |

See the posts by RenaissanceMan on the 6 Speed forum. I believe he got his modified to 700+ hp with some minor parts changes and a tune, but still stock turbos. Softronic sells a tune which is good for mid 500s if software is all you want to mess with. The secondary cat bypass pipes add a nice sound and reportedly improve spool. Have fun.

I had a 2006 CTT. I was running a softronic tune and Supersprint cat bypass pipes. The sound at WOT was awesome. It was otherwise normal sounding. Definitely enjoyed that truck; my wife says it was her favorite SUV to date. I can't say I miss the gas mileage however...

I've got a 2005 TT CAYENNE. Make sure it's well maintained, and just press hard on the gas pedal - that's all the tuning needed. Mine was only making .4 boost, so took it in - replaced plugs, cleaned injectors, found a broken wiring harness off the cat, broken plastic vent lines etc - now makes .8 and pulls hard. It is indeed one of the best Porsche/auto values out there.
