I saw in my 15-20 minute research $3K, I don't know if that's a complete kit or what.
For $1650 I'm game for a pair of 46mm even if it's just the carbs and stacks.

Downside is my fresh reuilt set of 40's may have gone down in value.

True! That'll be for one 40 carb (not set). Kits might come later but initially just carbs, this is what I was told couple of months ago.

This is great if, for some rule reason, you need Webers. But aren't the PMOs a more convenient mousetrap? I hate changing main jets on Webers, and usually leave the air correctors alone because they are a PITA to get to. PMO follows the Delorto single stack approach (so you can also fiddle with the emulsion tubes). And weren't some other useful small tweaks incorporated into the PMO design.

I could see the appeal at a lower price point but the link posted has the 46 for £2790/~$3600 and I doubt the price will go down if a US distributor is added to the mix. I didn’t look to closely at what is included with the Weber’s but the PMO kit is pretty inclusive and not too much more money.

I don't think so, I'm guessing WebCon bought the rights to Weber. If you look at their site it says something that "all carbs are designed from the original blueprints". They have a lot of Weber carbs that haven't been produced in 30-40 years.

In the past, PMO put the Technology side of his business up for sale. As of today he has not put his Carburetor Business on the block. But if you're feeling lucky, give him a call - he'll consider your offer

Among other improvements, PMO has ball bearings for the T'Shaft to ride on and Sight Glass windows for the fuel bowl level and other improvements as you say.

Both Weber & PMO carburetors have advantages and disadvantages depending on what size engine and what state of tune its in.

I would strongly recommend consulting with engine builders that have a wide range of experience to enable one to choose wisely.

Vintage racers who cannot use PMO's will welcome new Weber 46's.

Where are you seeing $10k CAD? The link you posted shows the 46s listed:

46IDA3C pair (LH plus RH)

£2,790.00

If it truly was $10k why wouldn’t you just get PMOs and call it a day?

Sorry I thought it was each, so approx $4250 canadian plus ship and tax ballpark $5K

I asked webcon on FB.

Mark Henry We had hoped they would be available now, but Weber had a problem with one of their large Foundary presses which has put availability back to first quarter 2019
