Shims sit under the spring cup. You shouldn't see them (unless you pulled the cup out first).

all good it was the spring cup that sits there after reseating the springs and keepers it all sits nicely!..cheers!..

one question with the tightening up of the rocker shaft pins.....in an earlier post someone mentioned to tension the 5mm and 8mm shaft pin bolt to around 18 lb for used shaft pin!..how is this done!..do you need a mini tension wrench to do this as i couldn't find any small or mini tension wrenches on the internet that would be small enough to fit in the head compartment to tension the bolt!
