Super serious ($$$) and beautiful ($$$) motor. Congrats. Doesn't Dougherty call the cam the DC65 cam and not the DC62 cam now? That's how it is on his website anyway. I *love* this camshaft. Love the build. That should be a 290-300bhp motor.

A wow motor from Henry

The high butterfly just gives it the look. How about a video when you dyno it for some sound symphony.

dreichman 10-22-2019 09:51 PM

Beautiful build Henry! How about some power spec’s

Thanks.

jbell959 10-23-2019 06:25 AM

Very cool. I love the ITG filters on the high butterflies.

I can't have dirt inn a fresh motor, screens only keep out rocks and bugs.

ITG filter conversions are our latest product.

We take our aluminum stacks and machine them to mate together after installing a filter plate.

I need a set of those. We'll talk when I come pick up the throttle bodies. I love the ITG filters on my 2.5

Trackrash 10-23-2019 11:06 AM

High throttle body injection, 12 plug dizzy, 228 fan, Ti rods, MFI. My dream motor. Yea when I win the lotto, I'll have one like this.

starchy 911sc 10-23-2019 11:49 AM

Just another 2.8ss gem from Supertec

Well done Henry on another fine build!

Were the high butterfly TB’s sourced from TwinSpark Racing?

The high butterfly throttle bodies were sourced out of Germany.
They were usable as delivered. We put them through our rebuild process, including the flow bench and now they pass our QC.

Henry, awesome build. Curious where you see the power band for this motor..

Jeff Alton 10-23-2019 08:10 PM

Looks really good Henry!

Cheers

I’d hang it from a big ass gold chain and wear it around my neck with my shirt unbuttoned. Damn that engine is sweet.

The DC62 is not on Dougherty Racing Cams Porsche 911, 930 and 964 camshaft profiles website but I have experience with the cam so he still makes it on request.
John does great work and I tend to stick with what works/has worked.

Here's chart from a similar engine (same ignition, porting, cams, MFI, comp) a few years ago.
