Con Rod Spec
Can someone please confirm this for me guys.Quiet suprised at how ovalised these rods are for "only" 100k engine.3.0SC.
Size is as image.According to Bentley book, im way out of spec.Just for info, new bolts are not torqued only finger tight. ![]() Will double check this, with "precision" Vernier in morning. This is a cheap chinese job. |

You will find that torquing the bolts and using a precision measuring tool will make a big difference.

Yes Gordon is correct. You can't measure the rod bore dimension with a pair of calipers. You need to use a bore gauge.

I concur, as the Vernier is good for certain types of required measurements, bores aren't one of them. Any measurement with a Vernier where the tool alignment is critical will not be accurate or consistent. Bob
