Wide Band O2 sensor or Tec3r
Hey guys, I am adding a WBO2 sensor to my 3.2SS running Tec3r. I went with an LC-2 from Innovative. I welded the bung in place at 9 o'clock and have run the wire to the Electromotive unit. I believe that I am to install the Yellow cable into G19 and the black to G22.
First question is how do I crimp these connectors on? Second question is how do you guys get the 12V to the red wire? Can I connect it to the fuel pump relay? Thanks as always. I am sure there will be more questions to come as I am not very smart. |

You need a connector crimper I don't know the innovative, but if it's the little pin connectors I imagine it's a 0.5/1.0/1.5. you can get a cheap crimper off of amazon.
You need keyed 12V, the systems I've used (Haltec, WMS and 14point7 ) the controller (meter) is at the dash and that's where you find 12V+ and a good ground. The wire to the ECU is run from the WB controller (meter). BTW the lambda must be powered when the engine is running, or you will ruin the lambda.

Mark - when first I put a US Lambda 3.0 into my 2.7 I skipped installing any of the Lambda stuff (though of course the FV was there, just not powered). Because of the hard starting this produced I added the Lambda (which the seller had carefully included), which fixed that. But I don't think I damaged the Lambda (in this case the FV) by running with no power to the FV. I added BNC connectors so I can look with a scope conveniently at both the raw signal (what the FV sees) and the diagnostic signal (the nice square wave). They look like they are right.
And I can't think of just why not supplying 12V to the system would harm it, either. I had pretty much just this situation when water (spilled from the cool suit box) got into the relay back by the ECU, rusted the spring inside, which meant the relay wasn't getting power to things. Ran longer than I would have liked in retrospect this way before I figured this out (and added a diode to let me know the relay was providing power, should I ever wonder). Again, no issue with the FV functioning I can detect. To be sure, I am not using an O2 sensor with the system (my Innovate is separate, and does not connect to the Lambda system). |

Anyone? I am woefully out of my element with this Tec3r.

Values for 0-5V from what and for what. You have the manual, don't you? There are some "get it running" values, some of which you later refine depending on your needs and data you accrue.

Hey walt, I was looking to see if someone has the best table for the WB/EGO Volts to A/F Ratio.

Isn't there values in the Innovative manual? I seem to recollect that it was the case.
You probably have to get it calibrated against a good wideband.

I looked at the Innovate manual, and I think the answer is there. My race car Electromotive doesn't use an oxygen sensor to tune anything, so I don't have hands on experience. But if that is what you are looking at with your Innovate, the manual should help. Downloadable.
