Tall or short manifold for a 3.2

Hi!

I am building a 3.2 engine with a 46 Weber.
The engine is stock, only the cam is DC21
I have source for "short" and a "tall" PMO manifold set.
The intake port is 41mm,
The short set is 35mm diameter on the intake side and the tall set is 41mm.
Which is better to install?
I am installing this engine into a SWB car, is the tall set might be too tall?

In this case, you definitely want the 41mm as the ports are 41.5mm IIRC. Using a 35mm port will choke the heads for sure.

I can supply 98mm tall manifolds to suit 40 and 46 mm applications with up to 41mm ports.

Also available with fuel injection bosses for efi, with a 100 mm tall throttle body, so the height is no taller than a conventional carb on a short manifold.

A standard air filter still fits as well

Remember, the heads on 3.2, the intakes are shorter at least by the thickness of the insulator and one intake gasket
I’d go tall…

Just checked the space between the heads and the engine roof.
Seems like the "tall" intake can hardly fit with the K&H filter house

That’s why I’ve made Weber pattern high butterfly throttle bodies, which a MFI inspired linkage that are only 100mm

Pictured is the prototypes, production will be better finished, and linkages zinc plated
