The single wire sensor used the cyl head for its ground point and the 2 wire used a dedicated ground so that rig would work and appears that it has but if I was the OP I would be changing that thing out for an OEM 2 wire as a preventative maintenance as opposed to being stranded on the side of the road. Tks Guys: Had not seen response due to holiday I guess so I spent hours poring over
parts manuals and finally fount that plug. Thought that what it was as our japanese m/c carbs used to have same thing after all the smog crap. Found a new head temp sender and will replace with new 2 wire style. Also speed sensors are all losing their insulation so they go too! Thanks again and I am sure I will have many more questions later. Rebuild my 2.4 30 years ago and she is now still going strong in Greece! |
