3D Printable Intake Port Covers – Keep Your Engine Clean During Assembly

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share a simple but useful tool I designed for anyone working on Porsche engines. These are **3D printable intake port covers** that help keep debris, tools, or unwanted objects from falling into the intake ports during engine assembly.

They're easy to print and fit snugly into the intake openings. A quick print and you’ll have peace of mind while the engine is sitting on the stand or waiting for final assembly.

I’m sharing the file for free so others can benefit. You can download it here:

https://www.printables.com/model/1270272-3d-printable-intake-port-covers-keep-your-engine-c

As always, feedback is welcome, and if anyone needs a version for different intake dimensions, I’d be happy to adjust the file.

– Lubing

Or you could just use the cap/plug method available on Amazon with free shipping.
These work for intake and exhaust, oil cooler inlet, case to oil tank fitting and so much more.

For those who don't have a 3D printer cap/plugs have a more universal appeal. The plugs I posted cost $ 12 for 20. I'm guessing 3D printing is substantially more expensive.
Sorry a simple suggestion put you on a downer. Maybe you're just on a downer of your own device.

There are all manner of cap-plugs on Amazon and EBay. For those who have a 3D printer, you can print cap/plugs in any color.
