Replacing sprockets on intermediate gear
Hi guys,
I'm having a tough time replacing the chain sprockets on my intermediate shaft as in I can't get the old ones off. And yes, I have removed the circlips. I tried the blue wrench but that hasn't work. What do you guys use? A steering wheel puller? I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy one just to remove these sprockets.

Bobby,
I belive Dave had to press them off at his local mechanics and then he used an oil bath to heat up the new ones and they droped right on.

I know I've removed them with a gear puller (3 arm) and no heat. I may have used a press the last time (can't remember).
Use a heat gun to warm them up before dropping them on the (cool) shaft. -Chris

Thanks guys,
I think the gear puller sounds like a good option. I'll just take the shaft over to a tranny shop.

Gear puller / press is a good option, but most people don't have the tools to do this properly. Simply have your machine shop take it apart for you...
