UURGH! Don't you hate doing things over?
Word to the (un)wise: If you have a '72T and are finishing up the last touches so you can install your motor in the morning, don't forget to install the oil return hose!
As in, don't forget to install the oil return hose BEFORE installing the heat exchangers, exhaust system, and MFI pump. I knew I was missing something! Oh well, the motor's been out of the car for over a year, so what's another day? Or week? Or two weeks? Looks like I'll get some good practice with those heat exchangers in the morning, which are such a joy to begin with! The MFI pump and muffler came off tonight, but I'm too tired and frustrated to do any more. Oh yeah, I need a beer! -Jim |

I wasn't going to brag, but during my rebuild I didn't have a new o-ring for the transmission guide tube (it doesn't come in the gasket kit, which is nuts). I was too impatient to wait for a new one to come, and I paid for it with another engine drop last week.

It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. |
