Flange sprocket, did 67 have it?
I'm looking at PET which shows 901 105 583 01 "Flange Sprocket"
![]() Now, I can't find either of these parts anywhere and I don't remember taking them off the engine. I haven't lost any other bits and I've looked everywhere. It's possible some prior owner removed them or somehow left them out or perhaps these early cars didn't have them, you tell me. andy |

The backing piece for the early cars has complete holes so the piece is larger but does the same thing.
This could be what youre overlooking Bruce ![]() |

Thanks Bruce. That part certainly looks a little more familiar. I can't for the
life of me work out what has become of it. As far as I can tell I have every other piece of the engine but somehow I have managed to lose both of these. Oh well, off to track down some more. andy |

I know I tie them together with the bacling piece with the 3 holes for 6mm bolts that seal the box to the cam carrier and all the shims together so all I have to do is measure the stack for chain running square. I loop all together and store right from left.

Thanks Tom, I have sourced the parts. I am a dummy for not taking pictures as
I disassembled. andy |

FWIW,
I like the 100% engagement of the old part. PFM
