This doesn't look like a 930 Crankcase?

Hello,

I've recently started rebuilding my 930 engine. The engine is out of a '89 930. However, I noticed that the bottom side of the crankcase looks a little different to what I am used to seeing. Can someone tell me what they know about this crankcase? (Is it the right case for an '89?, material?, anything else I should know?) The number on the side of the case is 930.101.103.6R and the case number up top is 930/68.

Thanks!

Looks normal to me. The cases switched from the kind with the sump place to the kind like you have in 1983. Maybe that's not what you mean?

Christian,

Thanks for the confirmation!

And on to the next question. I was thinking about sending my heads and case to EBS Racing for work. However, I was wondering what other shops everyone here would suggest? I want to shop around.

(I'm not sure if there is already a post with this information. If so, please let me know.)

EBS is great to deal with. They did my heads, turned them around in the time they told they would, and their customer service and work was excellent.

Christian,

I wanted to look into what services you can provide. Do you have a website? If not, maybe we can talk offline.

Thanks
