Gap in late style 930 tensioners with late style idler arms
On my left bank, the idler arm has lateral freedom when the tensioners is installed. I'm using the correct thin boss tensioners with the later style double bushing indeed arms.
I should not need a spacer because of this, but perhaps my chain case has an issue? Do I need to add some washers on the other side? Here is a picture showing the gap, I can push the idler arm forward to meet with the tensioner and it will be flush. However, then there is a gap in the rear. Is this an issue while the car is running? Will the chain rails keep them aligned? ![]()
