911/912 transaxle
Can someone tell me if the main shaft (the one the clutch rides on) from a 914 transaxle will fit the early 5/speed 911/912 chilled aluminum case transaxle? Mine is bad and I have an oppertunity to get a 914 transaxle cheap.

It should fit no problem. The fixed 2nd gear will be a different ratio.
I have a 901 mainshaft (GA) if you need one.
