Stretch gauge

I'm seeing a lot of talk about the stretch gauge lately and it got me thinking. Is there a source that gives specs on the amount of stretch when tightening down FACTORY rod bolts? Or does everyone just use the torque spec?

I have not seen any specs on stretch for the factory bolts anywhere. Why would you bother using them?...ARP and others are much better, not that expensive, and publish their stretch specs....

Cheers,

Mike
