2.0 head comparison
Can anyone tell me about the 69' 2.0 T heads. Specifically if the combustion area is the same as 66' 2.0. I've recently acquired a set of 69's and I'm considering whether or not to put them on my 66' 2.0 re-build. I'm using 81mm JE's @ 9.5:1. Weber's for induction. I realize I'm not building a rocket-ship here, but the larger valve heads have me thinking. Thanks in advance for any help!

I believe (working from memory) that the '69T heads will have bigger valves then the 66 heads. These will provide a performance improvement. As far as the dome shape, I believe that it's pretty much the same.

John, Thanks for the reply. Do you think it's worth the effort? The ports are the same size on both:32 But the 69' has larger valves: 42/38 vs. 39/35

BIGGER VALVE ARE WORTH THE EFFORT.
Go ahead and port the heads a little (35 or so) , even if they end up larger than the intake manifold. If you still have the original 66 911 (Solex) cams they love to breath.
