964 Engine Case Porosity

After getting my 964 case back from the machine shop, I noticed that the freshly machined spigots had some serious porous casting reveals in them. One in particular was quite ugly. Anyone else experience this?

Never seen that, where is the porosity in relation to the oring that seals the cylinder? Is the seal above, below, or in the middle of it all?? I have not looked at a 3.6 in a while and my memory is at work or the girlfreinds... If the oring is above, I would not worry too much about it.

Cheers

The O-ring seal at the bevel right at the top. A little Threebond 1211 is good insurance.
