Do I need to install tensioners during dry assembly?

as above, finished cam timing and ready to move to piston-valve clearance check. I have mechanical chain tensioners in place from cam timing and I can't see much utility in priming and installing the pressure fed tensioners for the piston-valve clearnace check...they are just gonna have to come back out in a few hours. Am I missing something that would require me to install at this time or can I just leave the mechanicals in place till I tear back down for sealing?
