Ben,
The fan looks nice. What did you do to the center hub..is that cad paint?

mb911 01-17-2007 05:06 PM

the trick was hest to heat up the steel with a propane not enough to screw up the powdercoating but enough to void it of moisture and warm to the touch then sprayed some gold spraypaint it boils a bit then I cleared it 3-5 minutes later with satin clear.. I have tried this many times before and works well..

Where is the GSF crank pulley? :-)

mb911 01-22-2007 04:42 PM

sitting on the bench.. It does not have holes in it for my specail crank pulley tool so I just used this for timing and valve adjustment

Lukesportsman 01-22-2007 05:11 PM

Did you have these professionally powder coated or is this a Eastwood kit?

Facey 01-22-2007 09:52 PM

no cf engine shroud bling?

-i find it impossible to clean up the stock piece, i've sanded, painted, re-painted....its not good.....

i've never seen powder coating that light blue/grey before, but i think i like it.

whats your hp goal on this beast? should rev nice being such a short stroke.

It is machine gray and I sent it to euroeast and they did there (powder coating)

The shroud was painted then I stripped it back off and I buffed and it turned out pretty well It still has compound on it but it is fairly glossy. I though about replacing it but really it will be covered by the 3.2 intake and the IC so No one will see it..

Hp is 300-350 As I want it to last for a while

Facey 01-23-2007 09:23 AM

sorry, crank or wheel?
either way should be dependable.

exciting, have you test fit the IC yet? or is that to come?

what is your combustion chamber volume?

mb911 01-23-2007 04:40 PM

heads are 92cc Did not cc the domes but they are very close to flat top JE's that henry@supertec said were 8- 8.5-1 depending on head so I am very comfortable with that I would like to 300 at the wheels.. I of course need to change some things but easily atainable if I want.. The IC and turbo mount up with be showing up very shortly in the pics

Lukesportsman 01-23-2007 06:38 PM

Was it Motodelta or Euroeast who did the powdercoating? Who did you contact for this service because I couldn't determine this from their website? You can PM details if you don't wish to waste band width here. Look'n good.

jcc911 01-23-2007 06:43 PM

Euroeast

mb911 01-26-2007 04:30 AM

thats the plan but I will get it up and running again with the dizzy first

hobieboy 01-26-2007 12:29 PM

Ben,
Trying with dizzy first is great idea, but should also hook up the VR sensor & pulley before you put the engine back in.
It will be easier (no need to change pulley with engine in car) and you can probably test the circuit prior to going all the way :)

Porsche_monkey 01-26-2007 12:35 PM

I don't like it. I really don't like it. The walls should be drywall, not particle board in your garage.

But that engine will be sweet.

Hi Ben,
